 got stitches
For obvious reasons the house roughing play has got to stop, it started out as ''just playing'' then for whatever reason Elle got mad over something and bit Emma above her left eye, which needed a stitch, it just kept bleeding and was quiet deep, but thankfully no further injuries and Emma's healthy, went ahead and got her annual exam, still holding her old weight at 75lbs, which is good, so I'm told for her petite size....This little bit of drama really scared me, it just showed me what Elle really is capable of doing...I'm still not sure why she got so mad at Emma?!?! Oh and this happened about a week ago, so it's healing nicely and you can't even see where it is unless you pull her fur back and look, so hopefully she won't bare a bad visable scar!?

 Re: got stitches
It's so scary when one hurts another. She probably had enough of the rough housing. Glad she'll be okay.

 Re: got stitches
Oh, poor Emma. Zeus bit Sheba and made her ear bleed a while ago and it was really scary. It lasted 3 seconds. I thing it was just a normal squabble and that he just bit too hard....I bet the same thing happened with yours. I'm glad she is ok.

 Re: got stitches
When it first happened and I seen all the blood (Emma never made a sound, she just started rubbing her face with her paws), I seriously though Elle bit her eye out all I could keep thinking was to get Emma to the vet, thankfully (even though I wish it never happen in the first place) it was during normal buisness hours!! Emma is such a trooper!

 Re: got stitches
Poor girl I am so glad to hear that it wasn't too serious though. Duke got Kona once right over the eye too. It wasn't too deep, but man it bled for a LONG time!
